Re-vegetating poor soil, west facing slopes, can be a humbling experience. We approach re-vegetating in three ways. Firstly, without any supplemental irrigation, number two temporary drip irrigation, or lastly, drip irrigation on a seasonal basis.

We have been humbled many times over the past 40 years. But we have also had many successes on many hillsides around the Truckee Meadows. Take a look at the road cuts on McCarran between Plum Lane and Caughlin Parkway Cashhill Blvd. They look identical to the surrounding native landscape.
